Social Media in Medical

I was talking with a friend the other day about social marketing and it’s place in the medical world. There are a lot of concerns surrounding this including those relating to the HIPAA laws. We also discussed the fact that certain segments of the medical world will never meet their patient. Her company tests tissue samples and sends the report back to the doctor.

So is social a good thing for this company to be involved in? Some might say no but you have to ask, “What is the philosophy of use?” You have to start with the goal in mind in order to know where you are going. What are you expecting to get out of it? Studies show that people expect some in return when marketing with social media.

I invite your ideas and comments on this. What are some creative ways they could leverage social media? Should they even waste time there assuming it’s a waste and not an investment.

I used to read a lot of books when I was a child up until about 14, when I fell prey to the completely superficial and revolting culture of social media. I became concerned with exteriors and (gasp) reality tv.

I will be turning 17 soon. What on earth happened to me! I used to indulge in colossal encyclopaedias and non fiction books, with the odd fiction novel from time to time.

I have noticed that I have lost a great amount of general knowledge and feel as if my intelligence level has decreased. I even find myself forgetting the definition of lots of words, or even the word itself.

I’m actually disgusted that I turned into such a vain, dense and vapid teenage girl. I want to go back to the old me. I don’t enjoy this shallow lifestyle anymore.

So is this possible and how can I regress back to my old lifestyle? Thanks.
